Our afterschool roots run deep

Homeroom began as a team of afterschool educators. Through our work with schools, we soon discovered that afterschool programs happen because dedicated parent volunteers (PTOs) make them happen. We also found that these afterschool advocates keep their programs alive using paper sign-ups, spreadsheets, and cutting individual checks.

We were determined to find a better way.

Running an afterschool program just got a whole lo easier

Studies show that when kids engage in meaningful programs at the end of the school day, they experience social, emotional, and academic benefits that last a lifetime. But the goodness doesn’t stop there. Afterschool classes support parents and providers and become a hub of connection and community.

Our mission is to give every family access to the best afterschool classes. We do this by offering the schools and PTOs who bring these classes to life a set of tools specifically designed to support thriving afterschool programming.
